Dr. Al-Rabeeah on an Official Visit to the Republic of Cuba

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, visited yesterday the Republic of Cuba, in response to an invitation he received from his Cuban counterpart, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda. During the visit, Dr. Al-Rabeeah and the accompanying delegation met the Cuban Minister of Health. Meanwhile, they discussed the ways of enhancing the cooperation between both countries in a number of issues relevant to the health domain, including the joint scientific researches and recruiting the distinctive medical cadres of consultants in a number of medical specialties, mainly: intensive care (IC), emergency and newborns, that is to be added to discussing the cooperation in the Visiting Consultant Program.
 
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Rabeeah has conducted during this visit a tour through a number of hospitals and specialized medical facilities such as: Ombeyiras Hospital (Brotherhood), the National Research Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Orthopaedic Hospital and Eye Hospital.
 
The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Saeed Al-Jumaei, and the delegation accompanying His Excellency the Minister of Health, which comprised His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Dr. Mohammad bin Hamza Khoshaim, the Director of the Minister's Office, Mr. Saad Al-Mefarreh, the Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Affairs, Dr, Aqeel Al-Ghamdi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Primary Health Care, Dr. Muhammad Ba-Sulaiman, the Supervisor-General of MOH International Relations, Dr. Afaf Al-Shammary, the Supervisor-General of Contracting, Mr. Murjan Al-Murjan and the Secretary of the Minister, Mr. Sultan Al-Assaf. Within the same vein, a number of issues of mutual concern to both countries have been discussed during the meeting.
