Hajj Preparation Committees Discuss MOH Preparations for 1432 Hajj Season

The Deputy Minister for Planning and Development, Head of the Hajj Preparation Committee, Dr. Mohammad Bin Hamza Khoshaim, chaired the 5th meeting of Hajj preparation committees today at MOH headquarters during which the Ministry's latest preparations for the upcoming Hajj season were discussed. The audience was briefed on the ongoing preparations in the areas of preventive, curative, ambulatory and support services for pilgrims.
In addition, the meeting reviewed and discussed reports submitted by the heads of committees, including the letter of Director-General of Health Affairs in Madina region. The letter requests to expand the supporting Manpower Program to cover health facilities outside the region, and discuss training courses and programs related to the committees’ function during Hajj season, in addition to other topics.
Moreover, the committees reviewed the accomplished projects in the Holy Places and checked out what have been achieved with regard to medical equipment. The meeting has also ensured the implementation of preventive medicine policies and procedures, currently implemented in 14 air, land and sea ports, These portals aim to make sure that all health requirements regarding transportation means are met, especially those concerning the prior vaccinations applied to pilgrims in their countries,. Also, according to these policies, foods brought by pilgrims will be inspected to make sure that they are valid, Besides, pilgrims will be provided curative, ambulatory and health awareness services. This meeting comes as a part of the Ministry's vigorous endeavors to provide the best possible healthcare services to pilgrims.
