Dr. Memish Open "Improving Leadership Skills Program" to Benefit from

Under the sponsorship of the Deputy of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Medicine, Dr. Ziad Memish, on Monday the Ministry launched a program called (Improving Leadership Skills to Benefit from " Voluntary Testing and Counseling" Awareness and Commitment). The program is organized by MOH National AIDS Program, Which will last for 3 days with more than 30 participants from different regions of the Kingdom. Dr. Memish clarified that the program aims to improve consultation and communication skills and ethics, reach integrated comprehension of voluntary testing and counseling, work on the personal approaches toward patients and vulnerable people, integrate the necessary tools of counseling and voluntary testing services, and design and implement effective methods to handle HIV/AIDS. In addition, to create new methods to shift useless approaches ,and raise the awareness about the process of finding transformational leadership that it must be deeper and the necessity of taking an action against HIV/AIDS.
 
Both of the Advisors of Public Health, HIV/AIDS Regional Program in the Arab States, Dr. Sayid AL Znari, and the Advisor of Mental Health, HIV/AIDS Regional Program in the Arab States, Dr. Nabil AL Qut have participated in giving the scientific lectures and workshops. Lectures and workshops have discussed the knowledge and initial exploring of leadership meanings, presenting the participants (self image), then presenting the program in addition to setting the basics of training , HIV/AIDS and the leading characteristics of the organization that reaches the most vulnerable people. They also included the general concept and services of voluntary testing and counseling as well as the most vulnerable groups and endanger behaviors; their importance and ways of approaching it. In addition, they have discussed reflections and tribal consultations and internal negative approaches that prevent from benefiting from the services of voluntary testing, counseling and dialogues.
 
They also mentioned communication deterioration and its relation with the HIV/AIDS program and differentiations, and ways of handling patients' feedbacks as well as distance consultations skills and ethics. More topics were discussed like Wilbur's analytical framework, leadership practices, initiatives, dialogues and opportunities; all to help in improving the service.
