Dr. Chan: Saudis are lucky to Have Their King

World Health Organization General Director, Dr. Margaret Chan, praised the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Tow Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz to the International Mass Gatherings Medicine Conference in addition to his great vision in leading his country to reach the level of developed countries.
 
In her meeting with the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah yesterday night, Dr. Margaret said "people here are so lucky and blessed for having a compassionate king like King Abdullah that we wish to have".
 
She also notified his leading role on a regional and international level in supporting WHO programs and events, and its efforts in providing human aids to people in need all around the world. In addition she praised the Kingdoms development, reputation and the distinguished expertise in handling crowds in Hajj season making it world wide role model; Where they discussed The International Mass Gatherings Medicine Conference, in addition to the national project for complete, and comprehensive health care, which MOH intends to implement it by including 224 hospitals with 33.000 beds in addition to 2037 initial health care center. Dr. Margaret thanked the Minister for the Ministry's efforts to raise the health services level represented by this project. On the other hand, the Minister threw a ceremony to honor Dr. Margaret, which was attended by many of the Ministry's officials and MOH International Advisory Council, which includes a group of elite international consultants in the field of health management, planning and studying strategies. Dr. Margaret welcomed the idea of establishing the council and expressed her hopes to achieve its strategic goals.
