Dr. Khaled Mergelani, Ministry's Spokesman and Information and Health Awareness General Manager, stated that the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz AL Rabeeah, will sponsor the 1st Honoring Ceremony held By the Ministry of Health on Tuesday 11112010 in AL Kobra Hall in the Ministry's Divan- Riyadh, on the occasion of granting 22 Ministry's hospitals CBAHI and JCI Certificates.
Al Mergelani revealed that these hospitals were the first to win CBAHI certificates but won't be the only according to the Ministry's strategic plan which will be implemented during the coming 5 years.
As part of the Ministry's dedication to provide high quality of health services to all citizens and residents in the Kingdom, these Hospitals (such as King Fahd Specialist Hospital- Dammam and Al Babtain Medical Centre) were subjected for more than 881 international standards included all provided health services.
Dr. Al Mergelani added, that the preparation procedures for this evaluation lasted for more than a year which includes upgrading professional and administrative systems, patient safety procedures in all departments and Health Programs.
He also added that such Certificate considered the first taken step by the Ministry in providing unique health services to citizens which are considered the first beneficiaries from such health services.
Based on the Minister's directions, Dr. Al Mergelani pointed out that the Ministry has developed an Integrated Health Care National Project based on a comprehensive scientific study where patients and Health Facilities are considered number one priority.
He clarified that the Minister has directed to implement this comprehensive plan immediately in all Ministry's Health Facilities where 9 major hospitals are subjected to JCI standards during the coming year and 61 hospitals will be added to the second group of hospitals preparations for CBAHI standards after a year from now.
He also added that such procedures became a strategic work plan for the Ministry where all needed employees and medical equipments are provided. He also encouraged hospitals managers to do all their best in implementing medical work rules and regulations in all hospitals departments.
This Ceremony will honor Health Affairs, hospitals, Medical and Quality Control Managers. In addition of all participated members in such project.
The rewarded hospitals are: Hera Hospital- Makkah, King Fahd Hospital- Baha, Aseer Central Hospital, King Abdul Aziz Specialist Hospital- Taif, King Fahd Hospital- Najran, King Fahd General Hospital- Jeddah, King Abdul Aziz Hospital and Researches Centre- Jeddah, King Saud Medical Compound- Riyadh, Saud Al Babtain Medical Centre, King Saud Hospital- Al Qasim, King Fahd Hospital- Hafouf, Iman General Hospital- Riyadh, Children Hospital- Dammam, King Khaled Hospital- Hail, Birth and Child Hospital- Jeddah, AL Yamamah Hospital- Riyadh, King Abdul Aziz Hospital- Makkah, King Fahd Central Hospital- Jazan, King Fahd Specialist Hospital- Qasim, Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital- Riyadh, Kamis Mushait General Hospital. In addition of Damam's King Fahd Specialized Hospital and Al Babtain Medical Centre.
