In reaction with the National Day of Milk Drinking, which is celebrated by the Ministry of Health in its second year, the Minister of Education Dr. Abdullah Al-Obeid, issued guidelines to all Directorates of Education at the different provinces to activate this occasion by urging all students to drink milk.
This positive participation of the Ministry of Health indicates comes in line with its acknowledgement of the importance of milk drinking in maintaining balanced health. It also indicates awareness by the Ministry of Education of the necessity of uniting efforts for the purpose of consolidating the concept of milk drinking in the minds of youngsters, especially in schools.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health has distributed, in cooperation with the national dairy companies, about five million free milk boxes to all schools in the different areas of the Kingdom.
