Al-Mane appreciates Sultan's offer

The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane raised his appreciation to HOH Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Aviation and General Inspector, for his kind donation for establishing the Prince Sultan Center for Blood Diseases and Tumours with a total cost of SR75 million.
"It is not strange to have such a generous donation from His Royal Highness", he said. "We are actually accustomed to such contributions from him, which reflects the care paid to health services by our respected leadership".
 
With its capacity of 300 beds, the center is considered as the largest center for diagnosing and treating tumours in the Gulf Region. It is composed of 5 flats and located on an area of 15000 Km square meters.
 
It offers 6 programs for treating some special tumours and is expected to provide diagnostic and treatment services to more than 2000 patients in the first three years. According to some national statistics the annual number of registered cases of cancer is about 7000 cases.
