Ministry’s Branches

Ministry Branches:

These are the levers of the Ministry of Health that provide support, empowerment and supervision of health services in regions and governorates. They have offices established by the Ministry of Health to support the branch in the assigned roles in governorates that do not meet the criteria for establishing health clusters.


Objectives:
It aims to facilitate access to health services, enhance prevention against health risks, and improve the quality and efficiency of health services.

Roles:
Performance and commitment: 
Follow-up and supervision of health care outcomes and follow-up on the implementation of governance and approved commitment mechanisms for health facilities and installations at the region/governorate level, which contributes to improving the quality and efficiency of health services.

Licenses:
Issuing and renewing licenses for health facilities and services in the region/governorate to facilitate access to health services and increase health service coverage.

Public Health:
Following up on the performance of all health programs, and the commitment of health facilities and facilities to infection control standards and outlets to enhance prevention against health risks.

Health Crisis and Disaster Management Center:
Dealing with national crisis management platforms and following up on the activation and implementation of health emergency plans and standards in the region/governorate, which contributes to facilitating access to health services and enhancing traffic safety.

Planning:
Planning the region/governorate's need for health care services in a way that enhances raising life expectancy and enhancing traffic safety.

Promoting Investment:
Enabling the participation of the private sector and the non-profit sector to achieve integrated health services at the region/governorate level to raise the quality of services and attract investors.
