World Osteoporosis Day
   Osteoporosis is usually dubbed: the ‘silent disease’, as it affects millions of people around over the world. The World Osteoporosis Day (WOD) is centered upon a crucial issue, manifested in this year's theme: “Love Your Bones”. It calls for take three basic steps towards the prevention of osteoporosis: a) regular, weight-bearing exercise, b) ensuring an adequate calcium intake, and c) ensuring getting balanced and integrated nutrition. Therefore, education about the prevention of a disease which the general public is still largely unaware about becomes crucial, taking into account that the efforts exerted throughout the past few years have begotten increasingly positive results.

  • Drawing attention to the importance of preventive measure for osteoporosis
  • A healthy lifestyle is critical to keep your bones strong.
  • Urging decision makers to focus on reducing the incidence of osteoporosis.
