MOH Supplies Mena Emergency Hospital with Modern and Advanced Medical Devices
08 November 2011
Under its colossal and relentless efforts to provide the best health services for pilgrims, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has equipped its facilities in this year's Hajj season with modern and advanced devices based on the latest medical technology in the world, to be used for the first time in the whole region. Among these hospitals was Mena Emergency Hospital.
These devices include: a modern device for cooling patients' temperature in cases of sunstrokes and heat exhaustion (depending on the treatment through a vein injection instead of the traditional system, which depends on cooling by water), latest defibrillators, electrocardiograms (ECG), myocardial infarction devices, dialysis devices, and respirators for the intensive care units.
It should be noted that Mena Emergency Hospital is one of the new hospitals that have been established in the Holy Sites. It is one of the four hospitals that have been prepared by MOH in Mena.
Mena Emergency Hospital is located in a strategic location due to its vicinity of the Jamarat Bridge. Besides, it overlooks the important entrances and exits of Mena. This makes it easy for the ambulances to reach it in order to provide ambulatory services for the various cases at all times. The hospital also includes a landing field in order to facilitate the transmission of cases by plane to and from the hospital.
