Consultant of the Minister of Health and Coordinator of the Council of Health Services Dr. Osman Al-Rabia, said the council has recently rejected licensing the practice of cupping (Hijama) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia so far as its usage is not verified from a scientific point of view, denoting that the council recognizes only the practices based on medical grounds.
He said the council directed the Alternative Medicine Center to enlighten the society regarding this practice and follow up relative new scientific findings.
