The Dietary Guidelines for Saudis
The Assistant Agency for supportive Medical Services, presented by the General Department of Nutrition, has recently issued the Dietary Guidelines for Saudis. These guidelines are meant to promote citizens' awareness  of what to eat, in terms of both the kind and quantity of food, as well as their daily requirements and proportions of nutrients, alongside keeping on a regular persistent exercise (for all age groups), thus helping to eliminate the common diet – related diseases and complications, such as: obesity and over-weight diseases, diabetes, hypertension, anemia, vitamin deficiency, and so forth.

Moreover, these guidelines are intended to make the optimum use of the essential foods, rich with useful nutrients, such as: proteins, vitamins, minerals and fiber. That's to be added to urging people to avoid depending on fast foods, soft drinks, as well as sugary, salty and fatty foods. Reforming the nutritional behavior is not to be overlooked as well.
