Al-Baha Health Affairs has launched the «Diabetes Friend» Initiative, targeting 1,500 diabetics, including children, school students, and the elderly across the region. The Affairs serves about 20,000
diabetics through the Diabetes Center of King Fahad Hospital-Al-Baha and diabetes clinics of the region's hospitals, in addition to the follow-up of healthcare centers. The «Diabetes Friend» Card helps save those patients, who are at risk for developing diabetic coma in public places before their conditions deteriorate, as well as offering priority to cardholders to perform lab and radiology examinations at health facilities.
