Prince Sultan Hospital Expansion-Melaijah: Required Funds Allocated to Complete Second Stage

Seeking to develop its health services, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Hospital is undergoing developmental works as the required funds have been allocated to complete the second stage of the hospital expansion. 


According to the Eastern Health Affairs, the developmental works are designed to support the hospital’s staff to provide excellent health services that cope with the aspirations of the Ministry and users of health services. The completion of the second stage of the project feature additional departments and new services, including another operating room, and resuscitation room equipped in accordance with MoH’s standards. Also, a rehabilitation and physiotherapy department for males and females, a home medicine section, an isolation room, expansion of lab, pharmacy and radiology sections and medical records section will be introduced. 

It is noted that the hospital features a 50-bed capacity, and it serves the population of Melaijah, in addition to other 30 adjunct centers. The hospital serves around 45 thousand beneficiaries, in addition to its services provided for travelers through the road to the north of the kingdom.
