 His Excellency, Minister of Health offers his thanks to the wise leadership and praises the pioneering experience of the Kingdom throughout Corona pandemic, coinciding with the declaration of ending the global emergency for Corona virus

​​​His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect them - for their wise leadership and unlimited support in managing the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), which was based first and foremost on human health, coinciding with the World Health Organization’s announcement of the end of the Covid-19 health emergency. 


His Excellency praised the distinguished pioneering model achieved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting the Corona (Covid-19) pandemic, thanks to Allah, the Almighty, and then thanks to directives and follow-up of the wise leadership and concerted efforts of all related parties from public and private sectors, and the great role played by members of the Saudi society, citizens as well as residents, in facing the pandemic through their cooperation, awareness, and commitment to preventive precautions, and their keenness to take vaccines and immunization doses.

His Excellency pointed out that the great development enjoyed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields, foremost of which is health services, is a result of the ambitious vision of the Kingdom 2030, which aims to enhance quality of citizens life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, of which the health sector transformation program is one of its most important pillars and aims to structure the health sector in the Kingdom to be a comprehensive, effective and integrated health system, based on the health of the individual and society, including the citizen, resident and visitor, which contributed to the empowerment of the health sector to confront the pandemic through a number of its initiatives and projects that worked to meet the future and its challenges; Such as establishment of the Public Health Authority “Prevention” and establishment of the National Health Laboratory and the National Center for Health Crisis and Disaster Management; This was reflected in the optimal handling during the pandemic phases, and made the Kingdom a distinguished model in dealing with the pandemic at the international level.  

His Excellency explained that the Kingdom has made many distinguished efforts in confronting the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), including providing treatment for all citizens and residents without exception, including violators of the residency system, as well as raising the capacity of all health services, in intensive care rooms and hospitals, and providing all necessary capabilities. of medicines, vaccines, laboratories, tools and equipment in record time and harnessing technical systems to confront the pandemic, and His Excellency stressed that the technical progress witnessed by the Kingdom at all levels and at the level of the health sector in particular was reflected in the ability to respond effectively to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) through Digital health solutions and virtual care, activating data management and analysis, and creating multiple outlets for providing services to citizens and residents that contribute to achieving their access to everyone easily, which enabled the Kingdom to control the pandemic in its early stages by activating the precautionary and preventive aspects and related appropriate protocols, that enabled it to return cautiously to normal life, making it occupying advanced positions in the world as the best countries to live in at the time of the pandemic, in addition to an advanced level in the classification of health security and the achievement of high community immunity rates; To become an example and a pioneering model to benefit from its experience and expertise during its management of the pandemic.

On the other hand, His Excellency referred to the leading role of the Kingdom at the international level, as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called on the President of the G20 Summit at that time to hold an emergency session for the leaders of the G20 countries to discuss the Kingdom's initiative to help countries affected by Corona pandemic (Covid-19) repercussions, and the leaders adopted the Saudi initiative. The Kingdom worked for its implementation, and the Kingdom supported the efforts of the World Health Organization to protect societies, which helped the organization to fulfill its international obligations during the pandemic, in addition to the Kingdom providing direct support to a number of countries affected by the pandemic by providing preventive and curative supplies to confront the pandemic.

His Excellency the Minister of Health extended his thanks and appreciation to all workers in the health sector, including health practitioners and administrators, for their tangible efforts and dedication in performing their national, professional and humanitarian duty, and His Excellency indicated that they were a strong shield to protect the health of the country and the citizen. His Excellency singled out the health martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the pandemic by praying that Allah bless them with the abundance of His mercy. 

At the end of his statement, His Excellency stressed that the great support that the health sector enjoys from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, made the Kingdom enjoy a high level of readiness and willingness to address various health crises in general and epidemics and pandemics in particular, in order to ensure the sustainability of health security. Asking the Almighty Allah to protect our country, our leadership, our people, and the whole world against all harms.
