The Fifth Edition of Ada'a Health Award and Quality for Beneficiaries

​​Under the auspices of His Excellency Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Galagel, the Ministry of Health honored today, Sunday, February 5th, 2023, the winners of Ada’a Health Award in its fifth edition for the year 2022, with more than 650 participants at national and international levels in its five tracks, where the first five places in "Early Detection and Prevention" went respectively to: John Hopkins Aramco Hospital, King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, King Salman Center for Kidney Diseases, Department of Care Model, Public Health and Community Health in Qassim Health Cluster, and Maternity Hospital in Taif. In digitally enabled care, the first five places went to: National Guard Hospital, Al Mowasat Hospital in Dammam, King Khalid Hospital in Al Kharj, (Labeeh) for Health Care Services, and Al Ameen Hospital. As for provision of specialized care, the first five places went to Dhahran Eye Hospital, Qatif Central Hospital, Johns Hopkins Aramco Hospital, Irada Mental Health Complex in Najran, and Prince Sultan Heart Center in Najran. In the track of efficient access to care, the first five places went to King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, King Saud Medical City, Al-Sahn Hospital, King Saud Hospital in Onaizah, and Maternity and Children Hospital in Abha. King Khaled Hospital in Al-Kharj, Johns Hopkins Aramco Hospital, King Saud Medical City, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, and King Abdullah Medical City ranked first in the five critical care tracks. Ada'a Health Award in this year 2022 recorded many gains and results, the most prominent of which is the improvement in rates of critical groups from the total emergency visits by 23% between 2019 and 2023, and this allows for optimal provision of services for most critical cases, in addition to a decrease in the average time period from doctor detection and even medical decision making by 21%. In addition to increase in productivity of surgical operations by 24% in 2022, and the percentage of obtaining the first four-week appointment in hospitals in specialized clinics increased from 62% to 72% in 2022, which represents an improvement of 16%. It is noteworthy that Ada'a Health Award is an annual award that represents leadership in empowerment, capacity support, promotion of a culture of performance measurement and support for decision-making based on the resulting information, for a health sector that cares for people.​
