According to Taif Health Affairs, over the past five months, the Urology Department of King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital has performed 140 surgeries, serving 1,841 patients.
Within the same vein, the hospital’s urology team has successfully ended the suffering of a patient with a severe urethral pain, frequent infections, and chronic urinary retention for seven years. After due clinical and laboratory tests, the patient was diagnosed with a severe urethral stricture, which caused various health complications. The team has performed a qualitative surgery, which lasted for more than five hours, during which the entire diseased urethral segments were removed, in addition to making a graft for the area using tissue extracted from the lining of the mouth. The surgery was crowned with success; all praise is due to Allah.
