Al-Jalajel Thanks Wise Leadership for Lifting COVID Precautionary Measures

​Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel has extended the loftiest and most sincere thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the occasion of the issuance of the decision to lift the precautionary measures and preventive protocols related to combating coronavirus pandemic. He congratulated the country and leadership for this success that was achieved with the government’s generous support.


He emphasized that Kingdom has provided historical lessons titled “Human First” to the entire world when the Custodian of the Tow Holy Mosques issued directives for the provision of free treatment to all coronavirus infected patients, including citizens, residence and even violators of residency and labor regulations, without any legal consequences.

In addition, the Kingdom has provided humanitarian support to COVID-19 patients in several countries, placing as a priority the human safety in a way making the Kingdom a role model in combatting the global pandemic, he said.

He noted that history would mention that the Kingdom’s leadership harnessed all its capabilities to preserve human health without looking at the variables.

Al-Jalajel confirmed that the Kingdom has proven its pioneering role throughout the pandemic period, starting with the initiative to take precautionary measures and preventive protocols and increasing vaccination rates among citizens and residence to more than 95%; thus reducing the number of infected cases to 87% and critical cases to 96%. 

This comes at a time when a number of countries were witnessing a third wave of the spread of the virus forcing some countries to close schools and suspend commercial and social activities, he said, pointing out that the Kingdom overcame this wave without economic repercussions or the closure of vital activities.

Al-Jalajel said that reaching the phase of taking the decision to lift the precautionary measures, despite the continuation of the pandemic globally, is the outcome of reaping the fruits of the generous support extended by the government for the sake of health of all those living in the Kingdom.
He commended the integrated efforts between public and private agencies in combating the pandemic.

The minister also praised the role of citizens and residents in overcoming the coronavirus crisis through their response to adhering to precautions and taking vaccinations. 
“By Allah’s Grace, we are witnessing the pandemic’s final chapter, taking our country to safety”, he added.

He noted that the Kingdom, under its wise leadership, will continue with its relentless efforts to monitor and confront all pandemics, praying for Almighty Allah to protect our wise leadership, maintain our homeland’s blessings of security, stability and prosperity and lift the pandemic all over the world.
