Najran: Over One Million Beneficiaries Served by PHCCs Last Year

​According to Najran Health Affairs, over the past year, the primary health care centers (PHCCs) have provided their therapeutic and educational services to 1,379,762 beneficiaries, through 69 centers across the region, 6 of which operate on the extended-shift system.


“Theses PHCCs have served 853,861 outpatients at general medical clinics, 83,456 at chronic diseases clinics, 51,231 at dental clinics, 21,453 at pregnancy care clinics, and 149,482 at well-baby clinic. Besides, these centers have provided their supportive medical services to 220,279 outpatients through gauze and injection clinics, laboratories, and radiology departments,” stated the Affairs.

It is noted that Najran Health Affairs has launched 23 consulting clinics at 10 PHCCs, as part of performance development programs; to provide services to patients in their districts, as well as relieving the pressure on hospitals. These clinics feature 14 general medical specialties, including orthopedics, cardiology, internal medicine, diabetes, ophthalmology, general surgery, dermatology, thoracic, urology, pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and family medicine.
