Najran Health Affairs General Directorate stated that the medical teams of Maternity and Children Hospital in Najran successfully conducted 708 pediatric surgeries during the first half of this year. They included 368 general surgeries and 340 delicate surgeries. Among these surgeries were 267 ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeries, 11 laparoscopic surgeries, 267 dental surgeries, two eye surgeries, one bone surgery, and one plastic surgery. Moreover, 7 neurosurgeries were performed.
Noteworthy, Najran Health Affairs has recently inaugurated the endoscopy unit at the Maternity and Children Hospital, within the framework of its expansion plans to provide specialized treatment services for children in Najran region. The endoscopy unit was equipped with the latest modern medical technologies, and specialized medical teams were attracted to perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, without the need to refer patients to hospitals outside the region.
