 Najran: 12,000+ Radiology Exams Performed by King Khaled Hospital Last Month

According to Najran Health Affairs, over the past month, the medical imaging departments of King Khaled Hospital have performed 12,773 radiology exams.


It pointed out that the departments of radiology and medical imaging of King Khaled Hospital have been enhanced with state-of-the-art diagnostic radiology equipment with the aim of applying the highest standards of quality and safety and ensuring accurate examination results under the supervision of specialized medical staff.

It indicated that 8,181 cases have benefited from X-ray examinations, 684 magnetic resonance examinations, 1,956 CT examinations, 231 tests to detect osteoporosis, 348 radiological examinations and 965 ultrasound examinations. Also, 293 patients have benefited from nuclear medicine imaging and 115 from vascular catheterization procedures. 

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) has accredited the hospital as a training and educational center for the cardiac care nursing program, after meeting all required standards and specifications, bringing the number of approved programs to 15.

The specialties include the programs of general surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic radiology, anesthesiology, urology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, adult cardiology fellowship (subspecialty), otolaryngology, intensive care board, and gastroenterology fellowship (subspecialty). Moreover, they include the applied medical specialties, such as radiology technology, medical imaging, clinical pharmacy, emergency nursing diploma, and cardiac care nursing diploma.
