According to Riyadh Health Affairs, over the past year, the health services were provided to 572,467 patients in Afif Province. Also, Afif General Hospital served 336,315 patients, with 114,581 emergencies and 52,461 outpatients, and the hospital performed 483 major surgeries and 154 one-day surgeries, bringing the total to 918 surgeries of different specialties. In addition, the hospital performed 115,439 lab tests and 37,209 x-ray examinations, and the rehabilitation department 1,728 patients and the primary healthcare centers (34 centers) served 236,152 patients during the same period.
It added that the hospital has been enhanced with 6 Saudi doctors in several specialties, including general surgery, ENT, adult heart diseases, urology, pediatric cardiology, and psychiatry as part of the visiting doctor program, as well as 2 consultants in pediatrics and anesthesia. It has also been enhanced with 12 anesthetic registrars, 2 orthopedics registrars, 3 chest, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology specialists, and a female internist, as well as 6 general practitioners in various specialties.
