Northern Borders: 978,000 Beneficiaries of Primary Healthcare Centers Last Year

​According to the Northern Borders Health Affairs, over the past year, the primary healthcare centers served 978,000 patients, and the anti-smoking program provided educational services to 55,000 beneficiaries and the telemedicine consulting center received 30,736 calls. In addition, the osteoporosis awareness campaign provided educational services to 19,326 persons and 5,700 persons were diagnosed with diabetes.  ​

It is worth noting the Northern Borders Affairs features 10 specialized medical centers (cardiac center, 3 diabetes centers, 3 kidney centers, and 3 dental centers), in addition to 11 hospitals with 1,410-bed capacity. The Affairs also provides delicate specialized medical services, including Neurosurgery, cardiology, obesity surgery, laparoscopy, oncology, and much more. The Affairs also includes 48 primary healthcare centers.
