MOH Participates in 5th International Conference on Prevention & Infection Control - Geneva

​The Ministry of Health (MOH) participated in the activities of the Fifth International Conference on Prevention & Infection Control in Geneva (ICPIC), which was held from September 10th to 13th, 2019, in the presence of representatives from several countries. During the conference, MOH presented its experience in the field of infection control in health facilities. It presented 26 scientific papers, ten of which were from King Faisal Medical Complex - Taif.


MOH is working to improve performance in pursuit of safe health facilities free from infection, for the safety of patients, health workers and visitors. The Health Facility Infection Control General Department also seeks to improve its services provided to patients and maintain their health and safety.

The Ministry seeks to hone the skills of health practitioners in the field of infection prevention and control. It is also active in communicating effectively with Health Facility Infection Control Departments in the Directorates, in addition to conducting a comprehensive assessment to measure compliance with infection control standards and requirements. Furthermore, the Ministry provides consultations, technical support to health facilities in the field of infection prevention and control, in addition to the implementation of an epidemiological surveillance program to measure infection rates in health facilities.
