Governor of Hail Launches Health Projects

​His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail, in the presence of His Excellency the Health Minister, Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, launched today new health projects at King Salman Specialist Hospital including 22-clinic diabetes center, specialized emergency department, 50-bed oncology center (with a physiotherapy room), 22-bed ICU with a teleicu robot, cardiac catheterization unit, laparoscopic and lithotomy unit, a 50-bed internal unit, a 50-bed obesity, laparoscopic surgery and specialized surgery center. He also inaugurated Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment with a capacity of 150 beds (including 50 beds for addiction treatment). He sponsored a ceremony on this occasion, including a visual display about the health services and new projects in the region. Then, Director General of Hail Health Affairs Dr. Hamoud Al-Shammari delivered a speech in which he extended his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership, the Governor and his deputy, the Health Minister and his deputies and the Affairs' staff for their efforts up to inauguration of the hospital. ​

Then, Al-Rabiah gave a speech in which he stressed that these projects are the culmination of the generous support provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the health developments in the region through the inauguration of Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, diabetes center and new sections and centers in King Salman Specialist Hospital. He pointed out that these new health projects include all advanced medical specialties and increased the bed capacity in Hail region from 1179 to 1679 beds or more than 40%, which offers an outstanding added value in health services across the region.

In his speech, the Governor underlined that what has been achieved represents a qualitative shift and an important step in the health services in the region, indicating that we still have much to do for further development in the health field. He thanked the wise leadership for their continuous support to the health sector in the region. Also, he thanked the health minister and director general of health affairs for their efforts for developing the health sector, saying that: "The health system is a systematic way that takes the country steadily forward."
