NCDC Launches First Public Health Digital Library

​​In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has launched the first digital library dedicated to public health in the Kingdom to provide access to e-medical information including books, journals, periodicals, researches and more from major international publishers, with the aim of boosting scientific knowledge in the field of public health among health workers, trainees in epidemiology, preventive medicine and family medicine programs to achieve the goal of promoting health risk prevention.


The library makes it possible to use information  in public health, training programs supervised by MOH's Field Epidemiology Program, as well as 9 training programs in preventive medicine and 18 training programs in family medicine across health affairs directorates. The library also provides a large database for researchers and trainees to help them to have access to up-to-date references and facilitate their researching, and to make them acquainted with the latest information in public health and preventive medicine issues.

It is noteworthy that NCDC aims to reduce, monitor, follow-up, and control the outbreak of communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as promoting health, research and studies in this field.
