On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day (IVD) marked on 5 December, Al-Jouf Health Affairs announced that 329 volunteer initiatives will be launched, with 3,000 volunteers working during 12,000 hours of volunteering in the health sectors, and with participation of a number of different bodies. The region’s hospitals will implement several initiatives, including working outside the office hours in medical clinics to reduce waiting lists and receive new cases, implementing awareness and cultural programs, paying home visits to provide vaccination and measurement of blood sugar and pressure, organizing educational exhibitions, as well as paying visits to government entities; to provide them with health services, blood donation campaigns, training courses of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and measuring vital signs in the public sites.
