His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah has praised the achievements of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries in the smoking combating field as well as health awareness enhancement to reduce its harms. He pointed out that a new project was added to improve the tobacco combating programs and working together to lay down mechanisms as well as forming highly qualified teams to combat the tobacco epidemic.
He commended the recommendations issued by the fourth meeting of the GCC Health Minsters' Council, that was convened today (Thursday) in Kuwait, which focused on combatting tobacco, e-connection, provision of medical care to all citizens of GCC countries, examination of expatriates, unified purchase, central registration of medications and medications’ pricing. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of such recommendations to foster the medical work march in GCC, noting that GCC works will continue in an efficient and developed manner. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to Kuwait for hospitality and remarkable organization.
