Prince Sultan Cardiac Center (PSCC) in Al-Qassim has conducted a number of 382 surgeries over the past year (2016). A current report on surgeries shows that these surgeries included 191 open-heart surgeries (at a rate of 50% of the total number of surgeries). They also comprised 178 adult surgeries, including 111 open-heart surgeries, and 204 pediatric surgeries, including 58 open-heart surgeries.
It is worth mentioning that Pediatric Cardiac Section in the center conducts all congenital heart defects surgeries for babies and newborns, including supportive and final corrective surgeries. Besides, the center is reckoned one of the advanced medical centers in cardiac surgical interventions, and conducts surgeries around the clock to deal with regular and emergency cases among adults and children.
