MOH Organizes International Forum on Mass Gathering Risk Assessment Tools

The Ministry of Health (MOH), in collaboration with the Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO), will organize the international technical conference to discuss risk assessment tolls related to human mass gathering, during the period from January 31st – February 1st, 2017 in Jeddah Province.

The MOH said, "More than 30 specialists in mass gathering medicine from international centers and universities including University of Washington and Australian University of Flinders will participate in the conference, as well as experts from South Africa, Britain, Pakistan and Indonesia".

 
Also, participants in the conference include academics and experts in public health and mass gathering medicine from King Saud University, Umm al-Qura University, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research and Al-Faisal University.


It pointed out that the conference aims to develop a general vision of mass gathering risk assessment tools and the transfer of Kingdom's experience in risk assessment implemented by the MOH's Global Center for Mass Gathering Medicine last year. Also, a number of separate meetings will be held at the sidelines of the conference to discuss the third Mass Gathering Medicine World Conference with the attendance of a constellation of international and local experts.
