Regional Laboratory Gets Full Mark in External Quality Control Program

The Regional Laboratory in Riyadh, participating in the External Quality Control Program for testing standard samples received from the World Health Organization (WHO) by the Department of Polio Laboratory to examine polio, measles and rubella viruses for the year 2015/2016, has scored 100% in the standard samples evaluation.
 
It is worth mentioning that National Polio Laboratory (NPL) at the Regional Laboratory and Blood Bank in Riyadh is accredited ‎by WHO for examining measles, rubella and mumps viruses. Besides, it is considered as one of the best labs, participating in the Program, which got this mark. Hence, this matter reflects the development of performance level‎ witnessed by laboratories and blood banks, in an endeavor to provide the finest and best laboratory services to citizens.
 
Moreover, this aforementioned Program is one of those programs supervised by the MOH Laboratories and Blood Banks General Department (totaling 28 programs) with its different sections.
