The Minister of Health Assigns Al-Jahdali, Al-Mansouri and Al-Sherif to Leading Posts
18 August 2015
In a move that confirms the keen interest of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the health and safety of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, and giving it a higher priority, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, underlined the importance of promoting systematic institutional work for handling the work of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry, and assigning qualified health leaders to work for achieving the MOH's objectives and mission, aiming at maintaining the health and safety of the pilgrims. Therefore, he issued a decision by virtue of which Dr. Emad bin Ali Al-Jahdali shall focus his efforts as a full-time Chairman of Hajj and Umrah Committees.

The decision relies on Dr. al-Jahdali’s achievements within the preparatory Hajj committees during the last period, and the experience he got to accumulate in this field. It is thought that, if a permanent position is allocated for this purpose, this is likely to help concentrate efforts, and thus yield better results, and provide higher health services all through the year. Formerly, it is to be noted, the chairmanship of Hajj committees used to be assigned to one of the MOH's senior officials, in addition to his permanent position.

Within the same vein, the Minister of Health issued a decision assigning Mr. Abdulhadi bin Ahmad Al-Mansouri as a Deputy Minister for Human Resources Development, for six months, in addition to his current post. He also issued a decision assigning Dr. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Sherif as a Deputy Minister for Planning and Transformation, for one year.
