Dr. Al-Rabeeah Launches the National Diabetes Awareness Program Tomorrow

Within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to promote and raise the health awareness of the chronic diseases; in an endeavor to combat and limit the outbreak of such diseases among all society’s groups, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, is to launch the first phase of the National Diabetes Awareness Program, carried out by the MOH, tomorrow morning (Sunday) at the Grand Ballroom of MOH headquarter.
 
It is noteworthy that this program is a part of the awareness campaigns organized regularly by the MOH throughout the year; given that, the program aims at involving the health officials in its application, and enabling the diabetics to use the therapeutic means, as well as the educational programs of diabetes self-care, and the online training programs. Also, the program aims at increasing the public awareness of diabetes among all Saudi society’s groups.
 
It is worth mentioning that, the number of MOH diabetes centers reaches 20 centers, aside from 8 new supportive centers under construction throughout the Kingdom’s regions and governorates.
