KKESH Granted Accreditation by the Joint Commission International
04 December 2011
King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) for another three years. This accreditation was granted to KKESH after the field survey recently conducted by the Commission, covering all the sections, facilities and services of the hospital. Moreover, the Joint Commission International, based in Chicago, Illinois, grants recognition to hospitals and health centers for three years based on strict international standards evaluated by the accreditation Committee.
It should be noted that since the establishment of KKESH, it has been applying the Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards applied in the U.S. health care facilities. In addition, the KKESH has gained this accreditation four consecutive times since the first implementation of the international standards in 2001.
The General Executive Director of the KKESH, Dr. Abdulilah Bin Abbad Al Towerki, clarified that KKESH is proud of gaining this accreditation from an international body specialized in evaluating hospitals, as obtaining such accreditation is considered an acknowledgment of the outstanding quality level of the medical, preventive and therapeutic services provided to patients.
