With the attendance of 16 delegations from different regions of the Kingdom as well as the Director General of the Mental and Social Health Department at the Ministry of Health (MOH) Dr. Abdul Hameed bin Abdullah Al-Habeeb and a host of media men and guests, the 6th annual meeting for supervisors of the mental and social services in the Kingdom was opened today (Tuesday) morning 21/7/1430H at the Coral Plaza Hotel in Al-Ahsa province.
The meeting was commenced with a welcoming speech and verses from the Holy Quran followed by a speech for the Director of Al-Ahsa Health Affairs, which was delivered by the Director of Al-Ahsa Mental Health Department Mr. Mubarak bin Muhammad Al-Mulhem. Then, Dr. Al-Habeeb addressed the gathering and expressed his longing for this meeting, which is considered as a working paper for the next year, and called for leaving the traditional methods behind to get the best results.
Also, Dr. Al-Habeeb pressed for making using of the available environment and capabilities provided by the wise government in achieving changes and development, and lauded the organizational efforts and hospitality provided by Al-Ahsa Health Affairs Directorate, represented by the Mental Health Hospital in the province.
This was followed by honoring of all media men participating in the meeting and then the start of debating sessions. The Director of Public Relations and General Coordinator of the Meeting, Yahia Al-Aufi, said that a tourist trip will take the participating delegations to different parts of Al-Ahsa and Hassana Fullah Festival.
