Health Days 2021

World Hypertension Day

Introduction:

The World Hypertension Day is globally celebrated each year on May 17th. This year's theme is “Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer”, to raise awareness of the importance of measuring periodic blood pressure, and knowing its normal levels, when the heart beats, blood is pumped into the vessels. Blood pressure is determined both by the amount of blood your heart pumps and the amount of resistance to blood flow in your arteries. The more blood your heart pumps and the narrower your arteries, the higher your blood pressure.
