Breast Cancer Early Detection

 

​​​Breast Cancer Early Detection (BCED) Project aims to the promotion of primary prevention against breast cancer, by means of avoiding risk factors that increase the risk of incidence, in addition to the secondary prevention through mammography screening every two years for women aged 40 to 69 who show no symptoms of breast cancer.

Project Objectives:
  • Increase the early-detected cases.
  • Reduce breast cancer mortality.
Project Strategies:
  • Activate and enhance women's awareness of the importance of mammography screening for early detection of breast cancer 
  • Activate and provide mammography screening in hospitals, where the device is available, in addition to fixed clinics in shopping malls, healthcare centers, and mobile clinics.
  • Activate the referral of women within the target group from healthcare centers to early detection clinics.
Attention:
Ladies are received at hospitals after referring from healthcare centers for mammography screening, however they are directly received at mobile clinics and women and child health clinics in shopping malls.
