MOH Fines a Medication Warehouse by SR 120.000
His Excellency the Minster of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, approved the decision of the Committee, assigned to consider the violations of the Saudi private health installations at Jeddah Health Affairs General Directorate, to fine the owner of a medication warehouse in Jeddah by SR 120.000; due to selling pharmaceuticals before obtaining the final license, as well as the lack of a full-time manager of the warehouse, the matter violating the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah approved another decision for the same Committee concerning fining the owner of a private pharmacy in Jeddah by SR 90.000, due to finding 9 medicines unregistered by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the pharmacy. Furthermore, the decision includes referring the pharmacist to the Committee, assigned to consider the violations of the health profession practice in Jeddah, pursuant to the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products.
 
It is worth mentioning that MOH emphasized that it would take all the statutory procedures, including the cautionary closure, towards any health institution that does not adhere to the required quality standards of health services; in an endeavor to oblige such institutions to improve its stances and address all irregularities observed there, pursuant to the statutory procedures.
