MOH Closes Two Pharmacies Affiliating to a Medical Company in Riyadh
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has issued the approved closing two pharmacies, pertinent to a famous medical company in Riyadh, for a period of 60 days for each pharmacy, and fining the pharmacies’ owners with SR100,000.
 
A competent committee affiliating to the Private Sector Department at Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate, has immediately implemented the resolution and referred the pharmacists working there to the Health Practitioners Commission; in order to issue the appropriate punishment against them for the violation of the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products and its Implementing Regulations as well as working with an expired license and allowing the pharmacist to work before obtaining the professional license.
 
It is noteworthy that a committee of the Private Health Sector Affairs Department at Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate has passed by the two infringing pharmacies, and recorded the mentioned violations. It is expected for the violation to be considered and adjudicated in accordance with Article (25/3L) of the Law of Private Health Installations and its Implementing Regulations. The sentence, after being final, will be published in three local newspapers at the expense of the violator.
